Frequently Asked Questions

How big is Nomad Cinema’s screen?

The inflatable screen size is 25’x14’.

Where can the screen be set up?

The inflatable screen needs to be set up on any flat, even surface and tied down by 18” stakes into soft ground or tied down to weights over 600lbs. Due to the blower motor, the screen cannot be set up on sand or water.

Does the blower need to be on the whole time?

Yes, but the noise the blower makes is minimal during a presentation.

How much power do we need?

The blower requires 20amps and the A/V equipment requires 5amps. The power source should be within 50’-75’ from where the screen will be set up.

How much room does the screen need?

The footprint dimensions of the screen are  32’w x 16’d x 20’h. The projector needs to be in front of the screen, about 30-60’ away.

How long does it take to set up the screen and A/V equipment?

It takes roughly an hour to set up and an hour to break down the screen and other equipment.

When should we start the movie?

For the best picture quality, the screening should not start before sundown. Sunset times vary upon season, so be sure to schedule accordingly. Outdoor lighting such as street lights or stadium lights can potentially obstruct the projected image as well.

What if there is bad weather?

The screen will not be set up in rain, snow or winds exceeding 20mph. It is always a good idea to plan a rain date during the initial planning stages.
